Week of 4/12 - 4/18

Throughout my ISM journey, I have been working with my mentor Mrs. Vida Patil. I have mentioned her in a couple of my blogs and assessments as well as created a mentor page for her right on my portfolio under the Mentor bio tab. But, the reason I am writing this blog is to tell you all how my mentorship has been with her and what I have gained from it.

Mrs. Patil became my mentor on November 14th of 2020, shortly after my iStart Valley internship competition. Since then, we have had meetings every other week and every meeting, we always talked about something new. She would ask me lots of questions and admittedly, I wouldn't have an instant answer to most of them because these questions really got me to dig deep. Every addition I made to my startup would always need some type of reasoning backed by it as well as every change and that was my way of showing her I know exactly what I am doing.

In our most recent meeting that took place this past Friday, I showed Mrs. Patil my final pitch deck for my startup Cloud9Hours. For the most part, she was impressed by all the work my team and I have done for the pitch but, there were still some additions and changes that needed to be made. One of the additions she suggested was adding a video or demo on how our Minimum viable Product works to make it more clear to the audience or investors what our product functionality is. I took this into deep consideration and decided that it would be best if I do a small clip of myself demoing the product. Another thing she wanted us to add is customer research and analytics to show proof that our problem is worth solving, adding more of that persuasiveness into our pitch.

Overall, I could say I have made lots of progress through my mentorship and I always say this but, I am very privileged to be working with Mrs. Patil and using her expertise to go further in my entrepreneurial journey. These last two weeks will act as the weeks that I need to give it my all and come to a close on my original work, as we approach the endgame on May 3rd.
