The Finale

Weeks of 3/8 - 3/21

During Spring break, I competed at the Global Startup battle semifinal and eventually placed as a top 6 finalist to compete at the grand finale on March 27th. Just looking back on where I started, I made it quite a long way with my startup so far and I still have more to come. If I told you that we didn't make changes along the way and that it got more challenging, you will know that I am lying to you. My team and I have had to make it past several road bumps to get to the place we are today and I couldn't be more grateful for all the resources I have been provided to succeed including my mentor.

With the Grand Finale being in a week, my team and I are making some additions to our presentation that will start to bring our startup idea more to life rather than just an idea itself. We are doing this by creating a simple app mockup for our service and explaining the purpose of all the pages and design. The mockup won't have much functionality since coding it will take very long but, our goal is to have something we can show that proves that we are taking our startup idea to the next level.

Overall, I can say that I am ready to compete at the Global Startup Battle Grand finale with the exception of making a few tweaks and additions to my presentation as well as review it again with my mentor. This is one of the most important moments of my career as an entrepreneur and I will make sure I use this opportunity to benefit my success in the long run. I am proud of the progress I have made and I believe there is more greatness to be achieved.
