Week of 2/21 - 2/28

We are now about a week away from the Global Startup Battle happening on March 7th. This is something I feel like that can really give my startup a boost into the world and help expand my network. I already won my final pitch at the iStart Valley internship final pitch, however, the Global Startup battle will ignite the flame of our startup even brighter.

This last week, my team and I got together and had a meeting with my mentor, Mrs. Vidya Patil, concerning our pitch deck for the competition. She provided very helpful feedback and gave us some tips that would really persuade the board of Advisors/Judges to invest in our idea. From the time of the final pitch deck to now, we have drastically changed our business model for our startup and there were many things we needed to change. For one, we needed to only have one central idea for the problem instead of explaining subproblems so our startup's focus was more understood. This would make it more clear to the judges what they're really looking at. I have also learned that adding a plethora of features to your product or service in the ideation stage can blind people from seeing the true purpose of your startup. So we decided to make our pitch deck simple to comprehend but, also make it make sense as a proper business idea.

On this Sunday, I hope I am able to present my pitch deck well at the semi-final competition so then I can advance to the finals, bringing me one step closer to making my startup a reality. Everything my team and I have done has led up to this moment and I believe that there is no turning back now.
