Weeks of 11/16 - 11/29

In the time before and during Thanksgiving break, my team and I met up with my mentor, Ms. Vida Patil, to discuss the next steps in furthering our startup. In this meeting, my teammates asked questions they had regarding our next steps and feedback to see what aspects of our startup we could improve that we already had. As she answered our questions, I made sure to take notes on what to do in regards to our next steps. Specifically, she was talking about how to find and survey/interview customers and businesses, moreover on how to approach them in a professional manner, and be respectful of their time. As she was explaining it, it seemed like a bit of an intimidating process and presented this "Strange path" that I had to walk into. During the times of the pandemic, finding customers that are willing to lend us their time is a major challenge we will face since not all customers may want to be out for that long or in contact with others during these unprecedented times. However, I thought of a solution where we could ask our friends and family for interviews so that we are able to gather some data about our service that we are providing and assess the need for it from customer responses and data. Although this may have its errors, we plan to reach out to more people with time and make connections along the way.

In the coming weeks, I hope to have created questions to interview potential customers with so that we can receive data fast and make some proper assumptions about the future of our startup. Besides customer interviews, my team and I will focus on establishing ourselves as a business by creating a logo and website to increase our credibility. My goal is to be as credible as possible so that when we seek funding and make bigger connections, we are taken seriously and not just as some high school kids building a startup "for fun".
